My desire to become an Auctioneer started in my teenage years while showing pigs at the Champaign County Fair. I remember walking my pig out into the show ring to sell, listening to the auctioneer’s chant. The auctioneer quickly increased his numbers, even stopping to engage the crowd and moving right back to bid calling. I was always fascinated with how quickly my pig sold and for how “market value” was quickly achieved. I continued to pay a lot of attention to the details of the auctioneer during the livestock sales, while I continued to help my brother in 4-H after I graduated high school.

As the years went by, after the birth of my daughter, Marleigh, and son, Myles, I found myself drawn back to the auction industry. I was fortunate enough to meet Mike Brandly, who owns The Ohio Auction School. After several discussions with Mr. Brandly, I was able to align time with my family life that allowed me to attend Auctioneer School. This invaluable experience led to meeting many other professionals in the auction industry all over the United States.
I am now proud to serve and operate Aaron Brown Auctions in Champaign County, Ohio where I was born, raised and live today! I am so proud of my two children, Marleigh and Myles. You will see both of them working in the family auction business.
In 2018, I added to my auction portfolio to include the sale of Real Estate. I became a Licensed Real Estate Agent, working with Royer Realty from Bellefontaine, Ohio. This allows me to sell any type of real estate by the auction method or as an agent working with sellers or buyers.
I am a past President of the Graham High School FFA Chapter. I am a member of the Ohio Auctioneers Association, National Auctioneers Association, Midwestern-Ohio Association of Realtors, Antioch Shrine, Masonic Harmony Lodge #8 in Urbana, Champaign County Shrine Club and Moose Lodge #1215 of Urbana. My community involvement does not stop with Fraternal Organizations. I continue to offer my auction service at many community events around the area and volunteer on several organizations and advisory boards. Additionally, I am a Trustee in Mad River Township.

Marleigh & MylesAaron’s children, Marleigh Brown and Myles Brown are an integrated part of the auction business.
Both children have developed a very good skill with the auction chant. Although Marleigh is just as skilled, she usually is the one in the background taking pictures of her little brother as he has made a name for himself selling for community events around the area. Both never hesitate to help in the family business whenever they are needed, “I am very proud of both of my children. I am paving the way as a first-generation auctioneer for them to follow in my footsteps. They both will succeed with their continued dedication to their education and hard work.” - Aaron |
